Spamming is the abuse of
electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages.
While the most widely recognized form of spam is
e-mail spam, the term is
applied to similar abuses in other media:
instant messaging spam,
Usenet newsgroup spam,
Web search engine spam,
spam in blogs,
wiki spam,
mobile phone messaging
spam,
Internet forum spam and
junk fax transmissions.

What happens if you send spam?
Firstly you are likely to harm any brand you are trying to
build and most people know you should never buy from spammers so you are
unlikely to make many sales. |

|
|
|
But if you were to actually send spam you are likely to be:
1. Blacklisted - quite quickly people will report
the spam to Internet blacklisting services. This will stop both spam and your
legitimate email address being sent! Some blacklists are based on your IP
address but others on your domain name - some may last 24-72 hours but others
much longer or permanently!!

2. Reported to your ISP - most ISP's take a very
strict view of spam (especially as you may be using their resources / servers to
send it!) and you may find your account suspended or ceased. Usually this will
be without refund as you will be in breach of their Acceptable Usage Policies.
1. You may loose your email account from where SPAM is send. 2. You may loose
your website or Link send through SPAM. 3. Criminal case may be registered
against you. |
